Which is first: branding or marketing?

This is an age-old debate, Branding people will tell you branding. Marketing people will tell you marketing. I am in the camp that above all, your needs should be what determine the best course of action.

Businesses need to make money in order to continue to exist. To do so, you must be able to communicate to your clients & customer:

1.Why they should purchase from you (a function of branding)

2. Know about you & know how to purchase from you (a function of marketing)

It’s often the case that businesses benefit from building up both branding and marketing in parallel phase by phase. The level of brand development that serves a new business is completely different from that of one in a more mature season of commerce. The same can be true of marketing while also factoring in the changing trends of technology relevant to your specific target audience. We assume that we know what each of these disciplines entails. This is a quick primer on the different roles relevant to day to day operations.

Knowing how to coordinate all the moving parts while working in your business is a lot. We are here to help, providing you with insight to capture what explicit steps will provide your brand with what it needs. Would it make sense for us to chat?
